"Hoppy"

CA$40.00

Paper 8” x 11.5”

Limited Edition of 21 on rice paper

This is the second print series of “Lil’Frog” design in green to blue gradient ink on rice paper limited to 21. Designed and carved on rubber stamp by Artist Jamie Nole.

Artist Note:

After making my first Lino print in black ink I knew the next one I wanted to do a blue green gradient and this turned out exactly how I wanted it. some prints will have a vintage worn look while other’s will have a splotch look.

I created “Lil’Frog” design when reflecting on my upbringing and all those who played a role. Thinking mostly of my grandmothers TsuTsu Bertha and Gigi Hester. Growing up in the 90s, I frequently spent the whole day or slept over with our matriarchal women while my parents were doing events or business trips for the community.
My tsutsu is of the wolf-clan, whereas I’m of the Frog house, therefore I always felt like her little frog tagging along hunting. My gigi had a huge collection of frogs in her house, nearly 200 - I counted, which has influence me deeply as I now love frogs so much I keep creating them.

Terrace BC residents; I will be dropping off prints at the Terrace Art Gallery Gift Shop later this week July 13, 2026. follow on instagram for more story updates @JamieNole_art
